8 Wedgewood Terrace is situated directly across the road from the access to the main bathing beach (Bronze Beach) in Umhlanga Rocks.

This luxury self catering apartment consists of a lounge, dining area and a fully fitted modern kitchen. There are two double bedrooms with a main en suite. The apartment can comfortably sleep four people with a King-size bed in the main bedroom and two single beds in the other bedroom. There is an additional bathroom and toilet. Quality linen and bath towels are provided. Off the lounge and the main bedroom are sliding doors onto a private patio with views of the sea. Sit on the patio and listen to the sounds of the ocean whilst enjoying your sundowners or that cup of coffee in the morning.

The modern kitchen has granite tops and is beautifully appointed and fully equipped. There is also a microwave oven, under counter oven and hob as well as a washing machine and tumble dryer. The apartment has satellite TV (DStv) as well as a DVD player. The entire apartment is air conditioned and there is also a ceiling fan in the lounge and each of the bedrooms. The apartment is serviced daily except on Sundays and public holidays. A Weber gas braai (barbeque) can be enjoyed on the patio leading off from the lounge. Secure undercover parking in a lockup garage is provided for your vehicle.

8 Wedgewood Terrace is in easy walking distance of the Umhlanga village. There are numerous hotels in the immediate vicinity where children can enjoy ten pin bowling, game arcades etc. Enjoy a walk along the 5 kilometer Promenade on the beach or a stroll along the nature trail through the Hawaan Forest which is on the doorstep of 8 Wedgewood Terrace. There are several family and upmarket restaurants in easy walking distance of the apartment. 8 Wedgewood Terrace is so ideally situated, one can virtually park you car at the beginning of your holiday and have no need to use it again for your entire stay.

8 Wedgewood Terrace is a five minute drive from Gateway, (the largest shopping centre in the Southern Hemisphere), twenty minutes drive from Durban, the International Conference Centre (I.C.C.) and uShaka Marine World. Durban International Airport is a twenty minute drive from Umhlanga Rocks. There are several fine restaurants in the village or at Gateway Shopping Centre. A private first world hospital is a five minutes drive away by car. There are several world class golf courses in the immediate vicinity including the prestigious Mount Edgecombe and Zimbali courses.

Umhlanga Rocks is one of the most sought after holiday resorts in South Africa whilst still retaining its unique seaside village feel. The world heritage site of Lake St Lucia, the Umfolozi/Hluhluwe Game Parks and the majestic Drakensberg Mountains are all within easy reach from Umhlanga Rocks.

General Conditions:

To avoid any misunderstanding, a booking constitutes a binding contract. All guests confirming a booking are advised to take out insurance to cover the full cost of their accommodation in the event of a cancellation. We will seek compensation for any cancelled accommodation that cannot be re-let, including premature curtailment.
Check in time is from 2pm until 7pm. Late check-ins to be arranged prior to arrival. Check-ins after 9pm will incur a surcharge of R200,00.
Accommodation will be automatically cancelled if the deposit is not received by the due date.
Deposits are not refundable in the event of a cancellation or “non arrival”.
Under no circumstances do we allow students or bookings where all persons are under the age of 25.

Directions

Heading north on the N2: Take the M41 off-ramp (Umhlanga / Mount Edgecombe). Turn right (over the freeway) and continue for approx 1 km, passing Gateway Shopping Centre on your left. Take the M12 (Umhlanga Rocks Drive) off-ramp and continue north passing McDonalds and Umhlanga Hospital on your left. At the next traffic circle continue down Umhlanga Rocks Drive heading towards the sea. At the fourth set of traffic lights turn left into Chartwell Drive and Lagoon Drive. Approximately 1.5km along this road you will see Wedgewood Terrace on your left. (At the intersection of Newlands and Lagoon Drives - Breakers Resort will be directly in front of you.) Heading north on the M4: Take the Umhlanga Rocks turn off. At the traffic lights turn right over the bridge (over the freeway). At the second set of traffic lights turn left into Chartwell Drive and Lagoon Drive. Approximately 1.5km along this road you will see Wedgewood Terrace on your left. (At the intersection of Newlands and Lagoon Drive - Breakers Resort will be directly in front of you.
