Description

Thornwood is a luxury private retreat within Weavers Nature Park, 150 hectares of pristine natural bush offering self guided walking trails amongst an abundance of birdlife and game. The park is situated in the heart of Southern Maputaland and is a neighbour to the famous Phinda Nature Reserve and The Greater St Lucia Wetland Park, now a world heritage site.Thornwood offers luxury accommodation for 6-8 people in a self-catering, fully serviced, upmarket lodge.

Thornwood is a unique blend of luxury timberframe units, blending seamlessly into the surrounding bush, and superior comfort, second only to the natural beauty Mother Nature has to offer..

The Main Unit consists of:
A spacious lounge and entertainment area with a decked pool, DSTV, pool table and a study nook.
Thornwood has a large well fitted kitchen with all the modern day conveniences. The kitchen leads out onto a large firepit deck which is perfect for evening braais and fireside chats, canopied by spectacular night skies unique to Africa.

Included in the main unit are 2 full ensuite bedrooms which have outdoor showers and bath tubs that open out to the African bush.

There is a Lodge Minimum that would apply for bookings of less than 2 people.

Seasons correspond with local school holidays.

Directions

On the N2 freeway take the Sodwana Bay/Hluhluwe offramp. Turn right and travel through Hluhluwe Village. Turn left at the stop street towards Sodwana Bay, about 1km further down turn right over the railway line onto the New Sodwana Bay Rd (R22) Travel 19km along this tarred road until you reach the Weavers Nature Park. Turn left into the park
