Palmiet River Lodge is tucked away in a quiet,Westville Conservancy. An impenetrable cliff forms a natural and beautiful boundary, where birds and wildlife abound.

More than 110 bird species have been recorded in our valley, which is no mean feat when one considers that we are less than 5 minutes away from excellent shopping centres, including the Pavilion shopping centre, the Virgin Active gym, good restaurants and the excellent Westville hospital. The city centre and beaches are 15 to 20 minutes away. There is quick, easy access to excellent roads and yet there is not a hint of traffic noise. We are close to the route of the famous Comrades Marathon.

Westville is a malaria-free area.

The lodge is spacious, architect designed and has a swimming pool and gazebo overlooking the river and cliffs. There is one queen sized room with private balcony overlooking the river, one double room and one twin room, all en-suite and newly refurbished. Furnishings are tasteful, but uncluttered, with white percale linen on all the beds. All bedrooms are airconditioned and serviced daily. Excellent staff are available at all times.
