Welcome to Milbank House...

...first named “Alvin”, Milbank House is one of Assagay’s original farmhouses and was built around 1930 by the Milbank family who lived here until 1974. We have had the pleasure of owning the property since 1 September 2004 and hope you will enjoy your stay, as we do, in the peaceful ambience of this old family home.

Directions

FROM PIETERMARITZBURG 45 kms to Milbank House Take the N3 east towards Durban. At the ASSAGAY / SHONGWENI exit turn left to ASSAGAY on Kassier Road. Proceed for 4kms to the OLD MAIN ROAD T-junction. Turn left and proceed to the SUGAR LOAF Shopping Centre (800 metres from the T- junction). Turn left immediately after the shopping centre into ASSAGAY ROAD, then first right into MILBANK ROAD. Milbank House is at the top of the hill. FROM DURBAN AIRPORT 40 kms to Milbank House Take the N2 freeway north towards Durban / Pietermaritzburg. At the N3 freeway interchange, follow the toll road signs towards Pietermaritzburg. At the ASSAGAY / SHONGWENI exit turn right to ASSAGAY on Kassier Road. Proceed for 4kms to the OLD MAIN ROAD T-junction. Turn left and proceed to the SUGAR LOAF Shopping Centre. Turn left immediately after the shopping centre into ASSAGAY ROAD, then first right into MILBANK ROAD. Milbank House is at the top of the hill. FROM DURBAN CENTRAL 32 kms to Milbank House Take the N3 west out of the city towards Pietermaritzburg. Proceed to the ASSAGAY / SHONGWENI exit, the first after the toll. Turn right to ASSAGAY on KASSIER ROAD. Proceed for 4kms to the OLD MAIN ROAD T-junction. Turn left and proceed to the SUGAR LOAF Shopping Centre. Turn left immediately after the shopping centre into ASSAGAY ROAD, then first right into MILBANK ROAD. Milbank House is at the top of the hill.
