All the B & B bedrooms are luxuriously appointed with airconditioning, telephone, internet facilities and individual satellite TV. Each room is en suite and is equipped with a mini bar fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. All units have their own private entrance.
There are two self catering units at Manaar House. The large, luxury apartment can comfortably sleep four people with a double sleeper couch downstairs for an additional two guests. The apartment is airconditioned and is also fitted with ceiling fans throughout. There is a DSTV decoder for satellite TV in the unit with a TV set downstairs and one upstairs as well. The apartment is equipped with telephones and ADSL (Broadband) internet facilities. The kitchen is well appointed and fully equipped.
The second self catering apartment is smaller and consists of a double bedroom en suite (shower only) and a fully equipped kitchen with under counter oven, hob and microwave. This unit also has satellite TV. Telephone and internet facilities are also provided.
Apartments are serviced daily and a laundry and ironing service is provided at a small additional cost. Should you wish to spoil yourself, breakfast can be prepared for you and enjoyed on the patio by the pool. The swimming pool area is for the exclusive use of guests. Secure, under cover parking is available for guest's vehicles.
Manaar House is a three minute drive away from the beautiful Blue Flag beaches of Umhlanga. There are several fine restaurants in the village of Umhlanga or at Gateway Shopping Centre (Largest shopping centre in the Southern Hemisphere). The International Conference Centre (I.C.C.), and Durban International Airport are a twenty minute drive away by car. A first world hospital is a five minute drive away. There are several world class golf courses in the immediate vicinity. DirectionsHeading north on the N2:
Take the M41 off ramp (Umhlanga / Mount Edgecombe) Turn right (over the freeway) and continue for about 1 km, passing Gateway Shopping Centre on your left. Take the M12 (Umhlanga Rocks Drive) off ramp and continue north passing McDonalds & Umhlanga Hospital on your left. At the next traffic circle, take Herwood Drive. Continue past the Sharks Board for about 2 km. Turn right into Campbell Drive & continue down the road until you see Atholton Primary School on your right. Turn right into Kingston Drive and then take the first turn left into Manaar Road - Number 16 Manaar Road
Heading north on the M4:
Continue north bound passing the Umhlanga off-ramp. About 50 meters further on, take the Portland Drive Turn Off. The road dog legs and becomes Campbell Drive. Go up Campbell Drive and take the first turn left into Kingston Drive. Take the first turn left into Manaar Road - Number 16 Manaar Road. |
