Description

An original bushcamp located in Northern Zululand amidst national reserves. Set in pristine bush, it offers the following rustic double/twin rooms, dormitory and camping swimming pool, hammocks. Fully equipped self-catering kitchen, breakfast, lunch, dinner are available. BBQ facilities, linen supplied, payphone, fax, e-mail facilities. Safe parking, information and travel office for reservations & travel arrangements. Walking distance to Zulu Cultural Village, Cheetah Breeding Project, 3km bushwalk. Activities: 4x4 open vehicle game drives.

Isinkwe Backpackers Bush Camp is nestled within 22 hectares of lush, indigenous coastal bush, 15 Km from Hluhluwe-KwaZulu Natal.

As you arrive at Isinkwe Backpackers Bushcamp, you are greeted by friendly, shady trees, forming a tranquil hide-away, as well as an excellent base from where to explore the many famous wildlife destinations in the area, including Hluhluwe/Imfolozi Game Reserve and the Greater St. Lucia Wetlands Park.

Accommodation options include a Self-Catering Tree Cabin, ensuite double rooms, standard double rooms, family rooms, dormitories and camping.

We offer dinners and breakfasts, served from our canteen next to our swimming pool and BBQ area.

Note: The point shown on the map is the entrance to Isinkwe Backpackers Bushcamp and there is a large entrance-way with signs. From there they will drive along our entrance road to the camp.

Directions

Isinkwe Backpackers Bushcamp is located near the small village of Hluhluwe in the Elephant Coast Tourism region. To get there from Durban take the N2 northbound and travel this route till you reach the Mtubatuba turnoff. From here continue Northwards on the N2 for a further 40km till you reach the Bushlands offramp (before the Hluhluwe offramp). Exit the Bushlands offramp and turn right. Cross the N2 and once you reach the gravel road follow signs for another 2km till entrance on left. From Joburg/Swaziland travel on the N2 till you reach the Hluhluwe offramp. Continue straight on with the N2 for another 14km to the Bushlands offramp. Exit the Bushlands offramp and turn left. When you reach the gravel road, continue for 2km. Entrance is on the left.
