Description

Umdloti is a small village along the warm Indian Ocean. It is 10.5km south of King Shaka Airport and 25km north of Durban. Die Strandhuis, which is self-catering , is situated in a garden, has full sea view, is 100m from the beach, boasts 3-star quality grading and is pet-friendly (small pets). Die Strandhuis has 3 separate types of accommodation, all are serviced daily except Sundays and public holidays. Each room has a ceiling fan. M-Net, M-Net Magic 1 & 2, Kyk Net, all sports channels, SABC 1, 2, 3 and E-TV are available.

Excellant restaurants, one of which serves a very good breakfast from 7h, are 500m (walking distance) from Die Strandhuis.

Accommodation

1. The House (min 4, max 7 people; sea view)
(For privacy let only to one family or a group that knows each other).
The HOUSE, surrounded by a garden, has a very large stoep with a built-in Braai.
It has a lounge/dining room, a fully equipped kitchen and scullery, two bathrooms and three sea-facing bedrooms. Own entrance and a lock-up double garage.

2. The Embuia (choice of 1 or 2 rooms; sleeps 2 or 4; sea view) Ideal for a family.
The main room (en suite) is arranged as a large bachelor flat (40 sq.m).
It has a fully equipped kitchenette and a TV/Lounge area.
The Blue Room (also en suite) leads out of the main room, has two single beds and cupboard. It also has a private outside entrance.
A stainless steel braai trolley is available.
Parking is on the property, secured by a remote controlled gate.

3. The Rosewood (bachelor unit; sleeps 2; sea view)
The Rosewood (en suite) has a fully equipped kitchenette and a TV/Lounge area.
The front door opens onto a small sea-facing patio and the back door leads to the garden.
A stainless steel braai trolley is available.
Parking is on the property, secured by a remote controlled gate.

R1200.00 per night for 4 people.
Additional adults: R125.00 per person per night.
Additional children: R85.00 per child per night.
High season: R2085.00 per night.

Separate from the house, with another entrance, there are two more units.

Embuia. (2 rooms, 1 bathroom, sleeps 2 or 4)
R550.00 per night for 2 people (1 room)
Additional adults: R125.00 per person per night.
Additional children: R85.00 per child per night.
High season: R950.00 per night.

Rosewood. (bachelor unit, en suite)
R550.00 per night for 2 people.
High season: R650.00 per night.

Children 3 years and younger : R50.00 per night.
Singles : R350.00 for one night.
Two people : R650.00 for one night.

Directions

From King Shaka Airport. (10.5 km) 1. After exiting follow the N2 S (Durban) signage. 2. Follow this road for 7km, turn left at the Verulam/ Umdloti off ramp. 3. Follow the Umdloti signage until you get to the circle in Umdloti. The ocean is now right in front of you. 4. Proceed around the circle to the right into South Beach Road. 5. About 500m from the circle go right into Margaret Bacon Ave. 6. The house is No. 4 Margaret Bacon Ave, on the left. From Gauteng. 1. You will approach Durban on the N3 2. Just after the Pavilion Shopping Centre, take the N2 North off ramp. 3. Proceed along this highway for approx 25km. 4. Take the Umdloti/Verulam off ramp. 5. Turn right at the Stop street. 6. Proceed along this road for approx 2km until you get to the traffic circle. 7. Proceed around the circle to the right into South Beach Road. 8. About 500m from the circle go right into Margaret Bacon Ave. 9. The house is No. 4 Margaret Bacon Ave, on the left. From St. Lucia. 1. You will approach Umdloti on the N2. 2. Take the Umdloti/Verulam off ramp. 3. Turn left at the Stop street. 4. Proceed along this road for approx. 2km. until you get to the traffic circle. 5. Proceed around the circle to the right into South Beach Road. 6. About 500m from the circle go right into Margaret Bacon Ave. 7. The house is No. 4 Margaret Bacon Ave, on the left.
