A Mediterranean style villa set in the cooler hills of Assagay, above Durban.

We welcome business and lesuire travellers with warm hospitality, generous comfort and friendly, efficient service.

We have 6 rooms which include 3 individually decorated double en suite bedrooms, a luxury honeymoon suite, spacious family room and a small self catering unit.

All rooms have TV, hairdryer, tea / coffee and complimentary toiletries.

Spacious lounges, a cosy bar, private courtyard with a tranquil pool and a quiet reading room are there for your enjoyment. Use of a well equipped business centre is also available on request.

A full English breakfast is served daily in the elegant, relaxing dining room.

We host business and recreational functions.

Our airconditioned functions room accommodates up to 60 guests, with media projecter, flip chart, whiteboards etc. A small library, business facilities, toilets and breakaway areas are adjacent.

Spacious dining bar and lounging areas are for our guests comfort and use.

A wonderful selection of activities and interests define the area as a major tourist attraction.

Directions

FROM DURBAN INTERNATION AIRPORT: Take the N2 North towards Durban/Pietermartizburg. Take the N3 toll road to Pietermaritzburg. Travel past Hillcrest, to the Shongweni/Assagay exit. Glide off here. Turn right over the freeway into Kassier Road. Proceed approx. 3 km to Chartwell Drive on the left. Chartwell House is the third house on the right. FROM JOHANNESBURG: Travel on the N3 eastbound towards Durban. At the Assagay/Shongweni exit, turn left to Assagay on Kassier Road. Proceed approx. 3 km to Chartwell Drive on the left. Chartwell House is the third house on the right.
