13 km's from the Richard's Bay Airport and 8km's from the CBD, Bayview Lodge is well-situated for both tourists and businessmen.

Our accommodation is spacious and comfortable - a home away from home. All rooms are air-conditioned with en-suite bathrooms. A full English breakfast is included in the tariff. A full a` la carte menu at reasonable prices is available.

The premier suite has its own unique entrance which leads into a spacious bedroom with three beds and a spacious bathroom. The suite has got its own breakfast table and a glass balcony with a breath taking view of the bay

Richards Bay

Richards Bay was a small fishing village until the opening of the Port of Richards Bay in 1976. Since then it has grown into one of the most picturesque, progressive and dynamic towns in KZN!

Richards Bay enjoys summer all year round. It boasts beautiful swimming and fishing beaches. It is also a very popular deep sea angling destination, where Billfish competitions are hosted annually. A ski boat launch site is situated 2 minutes away from the hotel.

Both the small craft marina and the international trade port are exciting hives of activity, attracting yachting and marine enthusiast from around the world.

The lagoon and estuary areas sustain a plethora of wildlife - the area has become a favourite for birders and the river mouth serves as a nursery for various fish species. A number of reserves in the area offer opportunities to see African wildlife at its best.

Our climate conditions are typically subtropical to tropical. The average daily temperature in summer is 28 degrees C and in winter 22 degrees C. The humidity levels tend to be very high and the annual rainfall is 1200mm.

Richard's Bay is a low risk malaria area. However, when venturing north of Richard's Bay usual malaria prevention procedures need to be followed.
