Welcome to the AFRICAN OCEAN GUEST HOUSE, the feel of Africa touches the waters of the Indian ocean. African Ocean is an is an upmarket guest house situated in Umdloti in tropical gardens overlooking the sea,just 10 km north of Umhlanga on the Natal Coast Three suites,in excess of 55m2,have their own lounge area,en-suite bathroom,own private entrance and large wooden deck.the suites are all individually decorated in elegant themes,either of African animals or African tradition.One suite with sea views is slightly smaller but is also beautifully decorated with its own en-suite.Two smaller suites,also elegantly decorated are available. Our latest edition is a self catering ZULU HUT,traditionally built by our very own zulu staff. African Ocean boasts a swimming pool,larger than any of the neighbouring hotels,has braai facilities and a boma for your convenience. Enormous ,full continental breakfasts are served in our tropical gardens,overlooking the ocean the ocean where whales and dolphins can be viewed.Bar facilities are available for your convenience at our fully licenced bar,”the lions den”

ZEBRA SUITE

The zebra suite is sophisticatedly decorated in shades of black and white and sleeps 4.The suite has its own lounge area, private entrance, a fully stocked hospitality fridge, tv, airconditioner and a private wooden deck of at least 40m2, overlooking the tropical gardens and the ocean.

LEOPARD SUITE

The leopard suite is decorated in shades of gold and brown/leopard print. This suite has its own private entrance,wooden deck overlooking the tropical gardens and the ocean. Lounge tv, airconditioner, tea/coffee making facilities, a fully stocked hospitality fridge, hairdryer, clock radio,toiletries. This beautiful suite sleeps

GUINEA FOWL SUITE

This suite is on ground level in the tropical gardens overlooking the ocean.This suite is ideal for parents with children .Facilities include a fully stocked hospitality fridge, tv, airconditioner, lounge area, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer and clock radio.The suite accommodates 4 persons. GIRAFFE ROOM The giraffe room,a slightly smaller suite with en-suite bathroom is on the ground floor, opening onto tropical gardens and also boasts sea views and can sleep 4. Coffee/tea making facilities. Tv, airconditioner, private entrance, hairdryer and clock radio available.This suite is ideal for a couple with young children.

LION AND BUSHMAN ROOMS

Each of these rooms offer Coffee/tea making facilities. Tv, airconditioner, hairdryer and clock radio available. The two rooms can be used by a family of four or two couples, sharing a bathroom. Both rooms have private entrances.

THE ZULU HUT

The latest addition to the guest house is “THE ZULU HUT”,a self catering unit which sleeps 4.The unit is built in tropical surroundings overlooking the ocean.
