We take great delight in welcoming you to the "Hippo Hide LOdge & Backpackers". It`s like you never left home! Upstairs in the main house we offer 4 rooms, 2 of these being doubles and two of them being dormitory style (1x5 sleeper and 1x6 sleeper). The main house is decorated in an Africsn Ethnic style with a modern touch, leaving you with a feeling that you have really arrived in Africa. We also have 4 separate rooms, set within our beautiful tropical garden, they can sleep one`s, two`s respectively. Our home offers a very relaxed & friendly atmosphere, it is close to Durban`s major shopping centres & only 10 minutes from the beach. We are a self catering establishment, providing most if not all the facilities you may require while staying with us, incl: guest telephone, internet shop with a super fast digital line & an information centre that will provide the traveller with all things to do & see around KwaZulu Natal & the rest of the country. So, why not bathe in our ROCK POOL, whilst sipping a cold bevy at the Watering hole! As we are both well travelled, we know exactly what our guests are looking for and will assist you with any travel queries you have. We are affiliated to BTSA and VIP.
