Linen, pillows, duvets, and bath towels are provided, guests are required to provide their own beach towels. The fenced indigenous garden and adjacent natural vegetation attracts many of the more than 300 bird species recorded in the area. The beach is within walking distance or one can access the main beach and lagoon through the Umlalazi Nature Reserve, run by KZN Wildlife. Visitor's concession permits are available at the KZN Wildlife office.
