Description

The name "Bayete" is a Zulu royal greeting dating back from the days of the Zulu leader, Shaka, and as such you will find hospitality second to none at Bayete, where your hosts aim to please.

At Bayete you will find tasteful ethnic decor, which extends to the garden which is almost totally indigenous, bringing butterflies and birds aplenty. Enjoy quiet surroundings with no traffic or noise.

There are two upmarket double units (double or single bed upon request) en-suite, each containing a lounge with TV/M-Net and airconditioning, both remote controlled. Guests have their own entrance to their unit, each with a private patio and braai facilities. The large secluded and inviting pool is available to guests to frolic, sunbathe or do a few exercise laps.

Each unit has a self contained kitchenette (microwave, two-plate cooker, fridge, sink) with dining nook, and B&B guests enjoy tea/coffee provided and a fully stocked bar fridge with an assortment of beverages. Scrumptious English breakfasts are served either on the patio overlooking the pool (weather permitting), or inside the comfort of your unit, or in the dining area of the main house.

Flower arrangements and fresh fruit greet your arrival, and the daily newspaper can be arranged on request. Keen birders will find much of interest in the surrounding birdlife as the property backs onto virgin forest.

Hosts Barry and Penny Pitt are birding and outdoor enthusiasts, and as such have a working knowledge of a vast number of attractions both in Durban and around Natal, and will be happy to advise on and arrange trips for their guests to various destinations.

Secure off-road parking; units serviced daily; laundry service and motor transfers available. Each unit has a desk/mirrored dressing table.
