DescriptionSituated in the exclusive up market suburb of Durban North our guesthouse offers holiday makers and business visitors comfortable, air conditioned accommodation only a short drive from Durban and Umhlanga’s golden beaches and the Umhlanga and La Lucia Ridge CBDs. Our central location provides quick access the ICC and Durban’s sporting venues; Moses Mabida Stadium, the Sharks home ground, ABSA Stadium as well as the Sahara Cricket Stadium and Kings Park Olympic Swimming Pool. We believe that good service and value for money are as important as the large comfortable beds we offer. An important part of any guesthouse is not only to provide comfortable and stylish accommodation, but to also ensure that there is an environment in which guests can relax, unwind and enjoy their stay. With this in mind we have provided two braais on site, a stocked bar and a central lounge to socialise in. A large pool area which includes 5 seating areas with umbrellas and sun loungers to enjoy the Durban sun, completes the picture. For your relaxation, we have a qualified Wat Po Masseuse, specialising in Thai physical tension and foot massage. For ladies only - treat yourself to an aroma oil full body massage. These treatments are seasonal and by appointment only. Please confirm at the time of booking if you would like to experience this rejuvenating massage. Accommodation We have seven modern and stylish rooms, all have DSTV, tea & coffee making facilities, mini bar & snacks, en suite bathrooms and air-conditioning.Barberton The Barberton Room is spacious and comfortable, with en suite facilities with both a shower and a bath. The room is ideal for use as an executive suite with a small lounge and desk area. Alternatively the sofa can be pulled out to create a family room. Agapanthus The Agapanthus Room is a simple and stylish twin room, opening out onto the pool area. African Daisy The African Daisy Room is a comfortable and quiet room in the main house. Flame Lily The Flame Lily Room is a peaceful double room situated on the uppper level of the guest house. Protea The Protea Room is a light and airy twin room, opening out onto the pool area. The Cosmos Room is a sunny and bright double room, opening onto the pool area. This room has a small kitchen unit with a microwave. The room is separate from the main house with its own access. Strelitzia The Strelitzia Room is a tranquil and light double room, adjacent to the Cosmos, with direct access onto the pool area. The room is separate from the main house with its own access. At the traffic light turn right under the bridge and proceed straight. 3. Cross (5) traffic lights and take the left hand lane onto the R102 (Chris Hani Rd) and travel 5.9 km 4. Turn left at Lothian Rd and travel 550 m 5. Keep left to stay on Lothian Rd and travel 400 m 6. Turn left into Lonsdale Dr 7. Slight right to stay on Lonsdale Dr and cross over Northway Rd 8. Into Old Mill Way and the guest house will be on your left. From Durban City Centre (ICC): 1. Head west on Bram Fischer Rd/Ordnance Rd toward John Milne Rd 130 m 2. Turn right into Stalwart Simelane St/Stanger St/M4 3. Continue to follow M4 for 6.7 km 4. Take exit 4 toward Broadway/Swapo Rd 5. Keep left at Broadway/Swapo Rd 6. Take the 1st left at the Engen garage onto Old Mill Way 7. Continue 1.2km to the top of the road, the guesthouse will be on your right. |
