Description"Tussen die Maroelas" means "between the Maroela trees", and our property is beautifully shaded by these wonderful plants. This privately owned guesthouse is centrally situated in Meerensee, Richards Bay, on the north coast of KwaZulu Natal. We are close to the main roads, beaches, shopping centres, lake, forest, golf course and country club, and within easy reach of all the region's fabulous attractions. Your hosts are the owners, Susan and Eric Venter, with additional love and entertainment provided by our Border Collies, Hannibal and Lisa (regrettably conditional on guests not bringing their pets.) We have many regular clients, both business and pleasure, and an equally warm welcome awaits newcomers. We especially love bird watchers! DirectionsComing in from Empangeni (or the N2), follow the road past the traffic lights signposted to Richards Bay CBD; past the robots at Medway Road signposted to the Harbour and Tuzi Gazi; across the river; past another crossroads (not on the map) signposted to Tuzi Gazi, Dolphin Viewing, etc. The road will then swing sharp left (not on the map) with a junction straight ahead, signposted to Hotels and Beach. Follow the left curve. After a few more roads that aren't on the map, you'll see a church on your left. Turn Right into the next road, Grunter Gully, and we are the first house on the corner, on your right. This is one block before the traffic lights at the shops! |
