LaLa Selva Self Catering and B&B is situated in Richards Bay, on the north coast of KwaZulu-Natal. Richards Bay is part of the City of uMhlatuze. It is roughly half way between Durban and several famous Big 5 Game Reserves in northern KZN. With Richards Bay's estuarine environment, we are an internationally renowned birders hot spot. We boast the deepest natural port in South Africa and host many sporting events including annual deep sea fishing competitions, triathlons, golf tournaments etc.

LaLa Selva Self Catering and B&B snuggles in the sleepy suburb of Meerensee, situated between the Mzingazi Lake and the Indian Ocean, five minutes drive from the main beach at Alkanstrand, and seven minutes from a variety of excellent restaurants and pubs at Tuzi Gazi Waterfront.

Accommodation

LaLa Selva Self Catering can accommodate up to 17 guests in three units, the Swallow's Nest (1-5); The Sunbird's Nest (1-2); and the Weaver's Nest (5-10).
LaLa Selva B&B can accommodate up to 9 guests in their three suites, the Dori's Den(1-2), Three Amigo's (1-3)and the Nemo's Anemone (1-4).
LaLa Selva is ideal for business, leisure and sporting events.

LaLa Selva Self Catering and B&B nestles in the friendly suburb of Meerensee, situated between the Mzingazi Lake and the Indian Ocean, seven minutes drive from the main beach at Alkanstrand.

LaLa Selva Self Catering can accommodate up to seventeen guests in three units, the
Swallow's Nest (5); the
Sunbird's Nest (2); and the
Weavers's Nest (10).
There is safe off street parking for a total of five vehicles.

LaLa Selva B&B can accommodate up to nine guests in their three suites, the
Dori's Den (2),the
Three Amigo's (3), and the
Nemo's Anemone (4).

There is safe off street parking for a total of three vehicles.

Rates

B&B Rates
includes coffe/tea and a self-help breakfast of cereals & toast:
Per person sharing: R250 per night
Single rate: R300 per night
Full cooked breakfast or dinner: R50 pp per meal.

Family Units
includes coffe/tea and a self-help breakfast of cereals & toast:
Four people - One en-suite room : R450 per night
Four people - Two en-suite Rooms: R650 per night
Six people - Three rooms shared bathroom: R750 per night

Directions

From the N2 take the R34 to Richards Bay. The total distance from this turnoff to LaLa Selva is 20.3km from Durban side, 20.2km from Pongola side. You will pass 5 sets of traffic lights. Shortly after the 5th light, the R34, (or John Ross Highway), curves to the left and becomes Anglers Rod. At the 6th set of traffic lights, the Meerensee Mall is across the road to your left, and the LAC Centre is across the road to your right. Continue straight, pass the 3 way stop. The SECOND road to your LEFT is Krewelkring (800m from the 3 way stop). You will see the brown signboard for LaLa Selva B&B. Turn LEFT. Drive 450m, the 1st road to your right is Musselcracker. Turn RIGHT and drive 300m. LaLa Selva, no. 25 Musselcracker, is on your left hand side and is clearly signposted.
